Yes ... thats what I am trying to say nod.gif

I also hardly see them with mobile cams on E-Ways. However .... beware of those Volvos and BMWs with their own speed cams mounted on their dash board. sweatdrop.gif

They however catch u speeding from the back ... rev up and ask you to pull over nod.gif

Mobile speed cams dun do that .... they sent a letter to your house and then shock you with a picture of you driving the car , if lets say you are trying to pull off a stunt by getting ... say your wife's driving licence to get off from the demerit points. sweatdrop.gif

Damn hard to cheat the gov now ley bigcry.gif

Hmm... I was traveling along this expressway where I saw the camera on a overhead bridge but no body around.

Anybody knows if those camera's are activated and captures on its own or must it be mandered by somebody?

usually cameras mounted on overhead bridges are normal CCTVs that monitor the traffic conditions for jams and accidents. Not likely to be speed cams.

Just think how else EMAS can come to your aid on an expressway so quickly without you calling for them ?

My car was stranded on an expressway twice and on both occasions, they arrived within 10mins without me even calling anyone.

Wait till the govt implement every car must have a black box and GPS transmitter!!! Then the TP can retire and collect the summons from you automatically!!! By then no need speed camera liao loh. It might be something like your current ERP unit.

Then there will be no more speedsters on the road!!! [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

Can we safely assume that on expressways, the only speedcam's are those fixed, non-movable ones? I seems to find that they only use the mobile speedcams on normal roads, and not on expressways. Neither have I heard of a road block on an expressway at night? confused.gif

they do use the mobile speedcams on e-way too......saw a couple of times liao.

road blk on e-way.....happen before also....but once in a blue moon e.g. major raid. u'll see not oni TPs but also LTA guys.

The max speed to avoid a speed cam is too fast for most car to achieve. BBC did a test which showed that the car need to clock over 250km/h and a very, very long straight road for that car to pick up speed. In this case, the test was conducted on an air field and that car used was a TRV. Even a SLK couldn't beat the speed cam.

Think doesn't matter what car.. most important is the speed.... maybe it be SLK or even Ferrari... if both are going at only 120km/h... will also kana mah... [laugh][laugh]
