Vit4wd 1st Gear June 25, 2005 Share June 25, 2005 The best option is to travel within the speed limit so you will not have this problem. ↡ Advertisement

Elfenstar 3rd Gear June 27, 2005 Share June 27, 2005 Here's the scenerio: You're speeding on the highway, another cars comes along and U let him pass. So he is going faster than you, do U follow suit and speed up? Hoping that the first one to be caught (if unlucky) will be the car in front of you and you can slow down in time? Or will the TP nab both parties? Give it a thought....... I didn't read any of the other posts but the answer is... depends. Is the TP infront or behind? What is you distance from the other car? Is your reaction time enough to slow down quickly when the TP/camera is spotted with the other car? If the answer to my ques are "in-front, 7 car lengths and yes" then you will not be caught. If it is behind, then you kenna (unless someone is behind you too), if too close will also kena as insufficient distance to slow, and reaction time is self-explanatory. Essentiale Neutral Newbie June 27, 2005 Share June 27, 2005 Back when I was driving a VW Golf GTi, along CTE in the morning, a Suzuki GTi came screaming past. Reactionally, I gave chase but in the process of doing so, suddenly saw a blinking blue light behind. Damn it, a white BMW. I was stopped but the Suzuki got away (TP can only catch one). First thing the TP said was "I clocked you above 135 km/h, so you have to go to court". 'Luckily', I was dressed in my army number 4 (as I was on ICT then) and bluffed him that I was responding to an internal recall ..... doing my duty for the country. The TP did not respond, but went round to check my car (for illegal mods, I suppose). Then, after a long while filling up his form, he passed it to me to sign. On it, he recorded 110 km/h. He responded by saying "I am letting you off at 110 for now, but you will still have a compounded fine for speeding and receive the 6 demerit points". I thanked him profusely before I left (ironic isn't it? after getting 6 demerits and a compounded fine? I guess I was very relieved to have escaped court and a possible license gantong!!!). you are one lucky b a s t a r d!!!!!!!! haha!!!!!!!

Fortress Clutched July 1, 2005 Share July 1, 2005 Have you ever thought of why nowadays, the TP travels in convoys too...one quite far in front of another, for cases like these. And in an operation, if I am correct, there are 3 to 4 pairs, ie, 6 or 8 TPs. Had a similar experience(12 years ago) with 2 other friends, a Porsche 911, Alfa 33 & Civic(heavily mod). The 33 and Civic were caught, the TPs told them jokingly, cannot catch the 911...interesting isn't it. Just forget about speeding, drive carefully. No lah, I think it depends on the position of the TP and also type of vehicle he is using. If on a bike, TP can easy maneuver to the front and catch the leading vehicle and also if he see there is a faster vehicle ahead. ↡ Advertisement
