Sparetyre Neutral Newbie October 23, 2002 Share October 23, 2002 Currently using Yoko AVS Sports V102. Excellent wet and dry grip. Noise level also on the high side. Threadwear is at 180 which is low compared to other performance tyres like S03. Would like to try Toyo Vimode for the next tyre change. Anyone has try that? Unknown_G7 Neutral Newbie October 23, 2002 Share October 23, 2002 So far I'm happy with the grip of Kumho712 but sometime tend to be noisy when doing cornering! Will like to try ES100 and S03 next time!
Seansene 1st Gear October 23, 2002 Share October 23, 2002 (edited) I'm the opposite, using ES100 now, want to try the Kumkuats back to back... next meetup Mag's and I can swop cars Edited October 23, 2002 by Seansene
Madarmour Neutral Newbie October 23, 2002 Share October 23, 2002 Are ST115 and ES100 'performance' tyres?
Seansene 1st Gear October 23, 2002 Share October 23, 2002 Well, Yokohama seems to think so - their marketing people label the ES100 "our new ultra-high performance tire" Then again, certain Keanu Reeves and Steven Segal are called "actors" (did anyone watch that comedy, Under Seige, on tv the other day?) Geewhiz Neutral Newbie October 23, 2002 Share October 23, 2002 Ha, ha, ha! that's a good one. Under seige, a comedy................ then again, so true..................................
Seansene 1st Gear October 23, 2002 Share October 23, 2002 Or maybe a tragedy is more accurate - damn painful watching Steven trying to contort his face to display more than one expression
Madarmour Neutral Newbie October 23, 2002 Share October 23, 2002 So the ES100's supposed to be the ultra-high performance tyre. Well, Steven Seagal may win the oscar one day................ Remember how he tried to act as an enviromentalist some time ago? Geez! Having said that, I think "whoa" boy, Keanu, is quite cool in Matrix. The movie was tailor made for him, you know, as a 'sotong'. Hopefully the sequels are as good, meaning leaving the talking to others.
Gadgeter 2nd Gear October 23, 2002 Share October 23, 2002 I used the previously model of Potenza. It was quiet and excellent grip. Currently, I'm using Grid II, cos Grid III came out after I have brought the Grid II.
Cardinal Neutral Newbie October 23, 2002 Share October 23, 2002 Quote I'm the opposite, using ES100 now, want to try the Kumkuats back to back... next meetup Mag's and I can swop cars you know which road allows you to test the tires in a roundabout fashion right?
