Firefox Neutral Newbie October 7, 2004 Share October 7, 2004 it work on manual cars oni, cos u need to drag ur gears. not really impressive thou.
Normal_aspirated Clutched October 9, 2004 Share October 9, 2004 (edited) You're right, Surbo works better with manual tranny. Must be twin Surbo or even three stage to get better effect. You need to hold the accelerator pedal and let the r.p.m. to go above 3,000 by itself to feel the effect. A bit tricky for some drivers to learn the correct way for Surbo to work. Normal_aspirated Clutched September 24, 2005 Share September 24, 2005 not suited, i think surbo need to rev engine to redline to get the max effect.....but for auto, up gear when reaching 2,000rpm. Guess so not effective.
Fluffy Clutched September 28, 2005 Share September 28, 2005 Surf the Surbo website and they indicate has fix Surbo to one Octy Amb 1.6. Is it from anyone here? My colleague has just install on his Civc and say the pickup is much better. Very temp to try. Anyone has experience or hear any feedback on this garget? i tried the surbo on my Auto Tody 1.6SR car, same lump as the Octy 1.6 Ambiante. i returned it after a week. hard to play with the gear with our auto, as it isn't tiptronic. even when driving normally, car tends to suffocate. Car nearly stalled when doing a right turn across a 3 carriage way road, nearly got into an accident. Looking at the device, it restricts the diameter of the air-intake hose to about 1/4 less area. ↡ Advertisement
