Suspension

If you haven't changed your shock absorbers since 2005, they're probably due for a change. To test your shock absorbers, bounce the car up and down by pushing downwards a couple of times. After you stop, if the car continues to bounce 1 or 2 more times, your shocks are no longer working well. If the car stops bouncing immediately, then they are still ok. If you feel more "hard bumps" within the cabin, it could be the rubber bushes in the suspension set up that have cracked or hardened with age. Only way to tell for those is to jack up and inspect from under the car.

Hope that helps.

Thanks alot! It helps.. [laugh]

You can check rear absorbers at undercarriage, or remove wheels.

Look for wet or oil stain on absorber body.

I am a Toyot_ user, lifespan max 3 years- in my case.

Not true. The suspension on my celica was still in good shape (rock hard) at 5 years with 170+k of mileage when I exported it.

Yes it is true, I did not lie.

Read again.

'...in my case'

You are so lucky 5years old absorber still working.

Is the lifespan also affected by weight MPV vs car?

The quality of JDM cars is generally better than export models, especially for those non main stream cars.
