Phalanx Neutral Newbie July 15, 2005 Share July 15, 2005 GY F1GSD3s are good tires too. Noise is always subjective, one man's meat is another man's poison. IMO, I felt the F1s were really noisy, especially past 20K mileage. The precedas suit my needs. ↡ Advertisement

For other automotive and contacts info, do check out the RESOURCES folder and the TIPS & TECHNICAL RESOURCES folder. You might also want to take a look at our FORUM GUIDELINES in MCF here. The Official Tyre Review thread in the RESOURCES on the Dragon tyre is here. Pictures of the tyres are included in each of the tyre reviews. Noise wise, it is subjective, and some people might find it a bit noisy over certain parts of the expressways. You can check out the tyre shops thread listed in the RESOURCES folder here. Hope this helps. Cheers
Soiv3693 Neutral Newbie August 28, 2005 Share August 28, 2005 When buying tyres for your car don't be blur blur go to the shop and asked the sales person & its likely that he would recommend what is best for them. Good to check with ppl in the know first and be very sure what u want prior visiting these shops. I'm very sworn to Pirelli and in particular the P6000. So, I've not tried the Dragon which I believe is new on the mkt and agent's currently also promoting. No, I insisted on what I knew best also having lost some money on trade ins having changed fm Pirelli to Yoko and then to Pirelli again. You may try this shop caused they did promote the Dragon to me: TS Auto 367 Sembawang road Tel:67552901 I'm in no way related to them. Happy motoring
Weswes Neutral Newbie August 29, 2005 Share August 29, 2005 Thanks for the advice. Is there a workshop to recommend in Sin Ming? Btw, someone replied that the Dragon is made in Thailand, would this be a concern? If so, what would be a good alternative tyre? Thanks

Wesel Neutral Newbie October 12, 2005 Share October 12, 2005 Very good deal you have. Was thinking of changing to this dragon tyres next, after talking to one of the customer working in Pirelli today. According to him, Pirelli is using harder compound comparing to Michelin. Performance is better for cornering and grip, comfort but noiser. Softer compound which Michelin uses offer quieter ride but suffer cornering. Can't have best of both world unless you are talking about top of line. Wet,Dry and wear are ok. Pirelli uses Grade A rubber only and the tyres come from Europe. His experiences is the Dragon tyres is more responsive compare to Bridgestones which he have previously. The braking performance is excellent. Other brand just seems to have a second delay when braking. Singapore traffics, I think braking it is important. Aquaplaning is another catogory. Generally, if you like cornering & performance and dun mind a louder noise can consider tyres from hard compound, if you prefer quieter ride than better to choose soft compound tyres. I am no relation to Pirelli, just wanna share what I heard. Cheers
Pueh Neutral Newbie October 13, 2005 Share October 13, 2005 hi have any tried dunlop sp sport maxx or Toyo trampio vitmode before? Currently using Eagle F1 performance is better than preceda(last tyre) in dry & wet but slightly noiser, too me not too much of a different in term of noise. Jin1976 Neutral Newbie October 29, 2005 Share October 29, 2005 I have taken off Pirelli Dragon tires from my front wheels as the driving handling is not good (maybe just my NSX). Cornering is not that good (tend to slide). I have seen installed my old Potenza RE010 again and it solve the problem.
Blueblack Neutral Newbie November 2, 2005 Share November 2, 2005 Hi everybody, Very interesting forum Driving a manual civic 03 model and looking for new rubber with excellent wet road, not so noisey rubber. One thing I don't bother is durability as 20K I will change liao, maybe scrap car too. I was quoted Dragon 195x60x15 - $120, Preceda 195x55x15 for $117. What do you guy think of the price and selection ? Thanks ↡ Advertisement
