seems like you have only two choices

 

1) buy an iTrip, made by Griffin Technology, cost around $65-75. Alternatively, you can get the brand Belkin. Both uses radio waves to transmit the songs in your iPod to your car stereo wirelessly, of cos the car stereo and the iPod must be set to the same frequency. Sound quality wise... so so

 

2) buy tape converter, one end of a wire plug to your iPod, the other end with the tape is inserted to your HU, don't know how much, but can find easily in Apple Stores. Sound quality is good (still depends on your speakers)

Can view id tag from HU, can control iPOD from HU....

much better than FM transmitters. Avoid them if possible. Quality is not satisfactory for audiophiles.
