One complete arch of intense colour, with a secondary arch paler above it, the rainbow spanned full across the Seletar Expressway as we drove westwards in the splattery rain. The morning sun slanted goldenly through under the clouds. Where the sky was a deep misty grey, the colours grew extra brilliant. As the road gradually curved, we saw where the end of the rainbow came right down to ground. It slowly moved out from the roadside shrubbery and came to land right in front of our left headlight. The glittery band of colour ran tracing the earth before us as we sped along, then smoothly shifted to keep pace right beside our front passenger window. Mom-in-law could have wound down the window and reached out to touch it. We were treated to this vision of paradise for the entire stretch of the SLE. I don't think it will ever happen again. But the pot of gold thing, considering that the end of the rainbow was right at our car, I think it must mean something. Hmm, could it mean 20 small???
