Frankly, I have hardly come across twisted or stripped studs or bolts ( on condition there is no surface or internal hair crack line) cause by using standard socket extension. To prevent oil spilling when removing the oil filter casing, most of the VAG and Audi oil filters have a plug-in-drain to a special design drain attachment.
