This oil evacuator use a simple venturi and compressed air to create vacuum , this is the cheapest and simple form of design, thereforeone should not  have high expectation even the oil is very hot.

Professional workshop version used air diaphragm pump or electric vacuum pump , these sophicated and expensive versions that can evacuate oil extremely fast and channel them to common pipping and finally dump into a collection waste thank.

Characteristics of MY mechanics, always tighten until....

I had my oil filter studs stripped and broke before. Thanks to their brute strength.

Frankly,  I have hardly come across twisted or stripped studs or bolts ( on condition there is no surface or internal hair crack line) cause by using standard socket  extension. The damage is usually cause by using long extension and inexperience mechanics.

mine is the hand pump version, not the pneumatic type that need compressed air to operate.

it can suck out 5.5l of warm oil in less than 2 minutes, good enough for home use.

my current car oil filter also accessible from the top of the engine bay, oil change and filter change can be done more gracefully and fast now, no need to raise the car and lie on the floor anymore.

Cars with easy  top down reach oil filter are popular with DIYers - such as BMW N40, N42, N45, N46, N52, & etc

I believe yr set can either used compressed air or create vaccum via the attached hand pump

Just curious, have you come across this type of plastic sump plug used on VAG vehicles in Singapore ?

My Avant not yet due for servicing, so I dont know. And nowadays, the underside is fully covered up. My Fumoto drain valve is in the storage box since I sold off my Axio.

Avante ?

Very easy to service.

Oil plug is accessible from the front. Loosen it and it spills oil forward.

Oil filter is easily reached from below the car.

To prevent oil spilling when removing the oil filter casing, most of the VAG and Audi oil filters have a plug-in-drain to  a special design drain attachment.

Even now new Toyota and Lexus cars oil filter cartridge have such similar drain attachment.
