Peterkoh Neutral Newbie September 5, 2004 Share September 5, 2004 Hi Brudders, Just placed an order for a S60 today. I've planning with a heavy heart on the ICE removal from my current Japanese car. Does anyone know if we can hook up an active sub into a S60 ? Just need an additional omph to complement the 9-spkrs system. Don't think i will risk a massive ICE job in the new car. Btw, does it makes sense to do grounding on a new Volvo ? Got a set of 6 cables which I can carry over from my current car as well. Thks. ↡ Advertisement
Soya Supersonic September 5, 2004 Share September 5, 2004 tink u can leave all yr jap toys behind coz wowos are aftermarket ICE unfriendly. i believe the stock HU doesn't even hv RCA preouts & u can't even hookup a CD changer unless u buy OEM one for abt $1200-$1400. yr onli other option is to go for their premium audio package (which is a ripoff). wowos are well grounded so no point doing it. Peterkoh Neutral Newbie September 5, 2004 Author Share September 5, 2004 Thks brudder. Sian liao ... canot even install an active sub. One way is to tap onto one of the speaker points as feed into the sub ... but I won't try anything for the first few months until I'm really certain. Juz curious ... why is a volvo call wowo ? Tanzy Clutched September 5, 2004 Share September 5, 2004 After you get the car, you can bring it to Tye Electronics at Blk 4006 Depot Lane #01-64. Look for Albert, number 62708018. I know an XC90 did the sound system there. Albert will be able to give advice on whether the active sub can be fitted.
