Hi all, was wondering whether those fuel magnets like Super FuelMax and Calski help to reduce the fuel consumption for Octavias? Notice the best consumption I can get is at 9km/litre. Any bro's care to share? [gossip]

Don't think any of these things work for any car [laugh]

But I still have a broquet in my car though [laugh][:p]

Very contradicting to my statement I admit, but that's about the only thing I would've tried though ... got it cheap 'cos it was a used set [rolleyes]

I'm using Broquet & Magfuel. Before was 9.5km/l, after is 10.5km/l (progressively). And that was after upgrade rim from 15" to 17" at the same time.

Wow, you mean you could get 10.5km/L using 17" rims? Thats damn good. Mine is only 9km/L. Sucks. [:/] Anywhere to purchase this Magfuel? Tks.

Magfuel uses to sell at Homefix at around $90/-. Contain 2 pair in the box. Or you like to post in the classified under WTB, there may someone want to sell it 2nd hand. wink.gif

BTW, accelerate slowly from stop doesn't help in FC, you RPM ended up dragging too long in high RPM. You have to reach a certain RPM (for smooth gear up-shift) to benefit from the best torque curve. nod.gif

Thanks for the info bro. But btw, you were saying accelerate slowly from stop doesn't help in FC, somewhere I read in Wheels mag, they were saying that accelerating gradually will improve fuel consumption. In this case, which is which? [dizzy] Just accelerate faster so that the gear will change faster or? Any tips? Sqeeze throttle? Thanks for taking time to answer. Cheers. [wave]
