[:)] Hi Everyone!!!

I'm new to this forum, and actually just collected the keys to my Cayenne Orange Fabia Comfort abt 6 wks ago. I think I'm the latest Skoda on the road cos I've yet to see any other SDQ plates around. Not that I'm surprised cos I practically had to pry my car from JTA's grips!!! JTA's REALLY REALLY in ALOT of TROUBLE!!! Anyhow, I've just only found this forum and am so glad that this Owner Group exists!

btw, now that JTA is destined for doom, anyone can offer me any info on where I could acquire Skoda spare parts???

Spoof, welcome to this forum! And congrats for getting the Fabia eventually!

Not too worried abt parts since I heard Czech Auto Singapore, owned by Auto Exclusiv - (Peter Kwee) will receive the baton from JTA for the Skoda dealership.

I think that will probably save Skoda owners from having a nightmare shld JTA go under w/o a replacement (which is STRONG!). But however, would be owners who pumped in 15k for booking the car and yet collect it will likely lose their deposit of at least 15k shld JTA go under! Doubt the new distributor can help the stranded owners much. Anyone remembers what happened to KIA stranded owners when AutoAsia closed?

I sympathise with JTA and I hope they can get their finances sorted out quickly.

Thanx for the welcome Fabiaman [;)]

Yeah, I've heard that he (Peter Kwee) has been eyeing the Skoda dealership for some time...It's good cos he's done a good job with Auto Exclusive and Volkswagon...

Lets just hope for the best for all the remaining buyers who've yet to collect their cars... [:(]

For guys like Bobby and Zoom who have booked the Skoda and yet collected, our prayers are with you. This is such a painful experience.

Today, Budget Car Rental was reported in Straits Times to sue AB Car Rental.

Headline: BUDGET Rent A Car International has gone to court to stop a former licensee from using its name.

It took out a High Court injunction last Tuesday against AB Car Rentals, which made news earlier this month when customers complained that the cars they had leased from the company were now the targets of repossession men.

I think they're all a bunch of crooks...AB & JTA. Taking people's money under the blanket of deception and swindling genuine buyers and 'renters'. It's as good as taking your money and my money and 'legally' stealing it.

Can't agree with you more on that statement. Read in SOG that someone mentioned that it is all the works of one guy. If you talk to insiders, it's none other than Mr. JL. They have put almost 400 cars on the road. There must be some money made somehow.

Hi Octy & All

Hg21 here, the male version and the owner of the ambient, not the wife. Agree with you that this sxxt is all about JL and the poor management of funds. Imagine having to collect cash from tarzan to release car to jane, what a mess. Just discovered on skoda auto international forum that some people want JTA to continue. Not worth starting a new thread to discuss this as I think VW like all organisations must have found reasons to remove the dealership from JTA. Many people might lose their deposits and warranty because of mismanagement and there is nothing we can do about it if this happens. Don't you agree? The distributorship has been given to someone else thus the proceedings in court on 5 Apr between JTA and its creditors is irrelevant to us. Feel very sorry for those who have not got their cars, also the staff who might lose their jobs.

Don't think the principal can do much to help and as many wise people have indicated everyone must be prepared to deal with the new guy on the block.

Some writers on skoda international want the principal to give JTA and the new financier a second chance? They sound desperate and I sympathise but the bigger picture is " Out with the old, on with the new". Afterthought: Who got JTA into trouble in the first place? All of us people, who posted messages with integrity, commitment, flair and gusto both with SOG & here. All that VW or Skoda had to do was read what we wrote and investigate. How's that for collectivisation? What's done is done, lets help our fellow skodeans by moving onwards and upwards as we welcome change.

Regards man. See you at 1400 Newton
