Anyone here has done it? Does it prevent the throttle body heating the air it is taking in. Or does it prevent your car from warming up properly?

I did it on my Altis, no bad side effects...improvements wise, drive all day long like when starting from cold in the morning...a bit more powerful...but somehow, when weather hot....observe no diff.

hmmm... i think the intention of this mod is good but its effectiveness is limited.

this is bcos the TB is made of mostly metal and it gets very hot even without the coolant, due to hot air and heat radiated from the engine block.

just a suggestion... to make the mod truly effective, the TB will have to be thermally insulated/shielded

I think carbureted engine also has this function (my Iswara does), but I'm thinking it may actually help with vapourising the fuel better, since with carburetors, the fuel sprayed out may not be as fine that of EFI engines. A little heat helps.
