Creatpoint Neutral Newbie March 1, 2005 Share March 1, 2005 Hi Bro, Sori to bring out this thread again. after your recommendation, i got myself a 12mths and a Soft99 Authentic Premium Wax, I did the fusso 12 mths first and after a while I did the waxing. the result was good ( as mine was a metalic silver, therefore the shine is not too prominent) anyway, i could feel the smoothness but after a few wash with plain water, i dun feel the "smoothness" anymore. My question is: Is the 12 mths protection still there? If I want to redo the process, can i just clean the car and apply the 12 mths follow by the wax again? Thanks ↡ Advertisement
Leonknapp Clutched March 1, 2005 Author Share March 1, 2005 Hi, The smooth feeling will never last past one or two washings. The wax is still there. Just that the surface oils might be diminished. Wax once a month with authentic will do. 12 months is more useful for rainy weather. Note that if u have authentic on ur car applying 12 months on it will not work cause 12 months must be applied on a wax free surface. Cheers!
Creatpoint Neutral Newbie March 2, 2005 Share March 2, 2005 Thanks for your reply, so if I want to use the 12 mth again, what should i do to remove the wax?
Leonknapp Clutched March 2, 2005 Author Share March 2, 2005 use a pure polish like the 3m Swirl remover, Meguiars swirl remover, 3m hand polish, meguiars show car glaze, meguiars deep crystal polish etc.. Can try washing ur car with a more concentrated mix of car wash soap. Cheers!
Steelblue Neutral Newbie March 3, 2005 Share March 3, 2005 "meguiars show car glaze, meguiars deep crystal polish" , maybe not these two coz they are actually similar products, for glazing and has no abrasive or chemical cleaning property. can try Meguiar's Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner also

Southpark2000 Neutral Newbie March 16, 2005 Share March 16, 2005 Hi all.... Very interesting thread....possibly the longest thread under DETAILING Went through the soft99 site - but cannot make sense of all the products they have (sorry - using translation software from Google). Any advice to quick quick shine shine that lasts lasts? - Fusso 9 mths good... - They have others like "Gloss king manicure coat" "fusso waterproofing 12 mths", etc. Southpark The Dude
Leonknapp Clutched March 17, 2005 Author Share March 17, 2005 yah so many products until i also blur.. anyway i think gloss king is like zaino cause it says that the effect is supposed to be very reflective as compared to the depth of Authentic carnuba wax anyway i think as long as u avoid the low end stuff it should be worth trying. Cheers!
Ocpi Neutral Newbie March 18, 2005 Share March 18, 2005 Yesterday night used the Fusso 7 mths. Quite easy to apply and bluff off after 20 secs or it will become too dry. Paint work is quite smooth but still can feel abit rough. Also saw the front bonnet has some white small dots on it. Was it because of the coating. Kaiserdome 1st Gear March 18, 2005 Share March 18, 2005 Hi, Did u do a good wash and claybar prior applying Fusso 7 months?
Ocpi Neutral Newbie March 18, 2005 Share March 18, 2005 I did a good wash but never use claybar. Is it necessary to use claybar?
Kaiserdome 1st Gear March 18, 2005 Share March 18, 2005 I guess it would be good to claybar prior applying sealant and wax. I'm a newbie in detailing. Hope to learn from bros here
Leonknapp Clutched March 18, 2005 Author Share March 18, 2005 new car dun really need claybar. But if its a few months without proper waxing claying would be good. try and gently use ur fingernail to scrap the spot. if its polish it should come off easily. if not u prob kena some paint overspray somewhere. anyway fusso 7 is a good cleaner/sealant. Fusso 9 and 12 are strictly pure sealants and would not give good results without proper paint cleaning.
Fishing7 Neutral Newbie March 19, 2005 Share March 19, 2005 Hey bro. After i used the soft99 fusso coat after seeing this thread, my car have been shinning and glithering ever since. ahhaahah. Bought the wrong kizz clear though, those without the 'R' word. But still work though. Maybe after a few months, will use mama lemon to strip everything off and do again. Coz now got some stain marks after i left the Kizz clear on for too long. But overall the car still shine, but when look closer, the bonnet got some blur patches coz of the kizz clear. And also, the premium carnauba wax rocks too. ↡ Advertisement
