1)u applied the fusso on a warm surface. The fusso needs to be applied on a cool surface.

Sir Leonknapp,

Can't be. I applied my Fusso 12 on my ride which was cool to touch. Had applied Kizz Clear R the day before and allowed it to cure for 12 hrs. Then washed it again with cool water, drying it before applying the Fusso12.

2)Another reason could be that you applied the fusso too thick, I have made this mistake before and I countered it by regularly misting my applicator with a quick detailer after every panel.

This is possible. I may have applied it too thick. But then I buffed it afterwards.....

3)A third possibility is that the paint was not prepped.

Dunno. I started my Fusso over 2 days. Car did not leave MSCP.

Day 1:

  • Washed with Polyglaze Car Wash
  • Dry
  • Applied Hi! Power Cleaner (it's an oil-based cleaner from Soft99)
  • Wash + dry
  • Apply Kizz Clear R
Day 2:

  • Wash + dry
  • Apply Fusso 12 mths. Panel by panel. Apply and then wipe off / buff.
Kindly advise.

My suspicion is that the Fusso / wax in the 12 mths is causing the oily surface. It will dry off....

whoa, today had a VERY bad time with the soft99 scratch clear wax. TOOK away my arms after waxing. at first did it wrongly and allowed the wax to dry and it was like superglue stuck to the surface refusing to come off and i had to spray QD over it before buffing it off. Then tried to leave for only 5-15s but it was still pretty tiring and i gave up after doing the right side of the car and the bonnet. Went on to applying the 9 months sealant. However, i observed that the 9 month still needs a final wipe to remove some streaks like we dry a wet window with a chamois leaving streaks upon drying, but it takes a very little effort. You all seem to say that the 9 month dries clear with no streaks but mine streaks so is it due to it done under a shade and on a cool surface so it does not evaporate that fast? Do you all think my 9 month will last although i clay-bared but no surface prep as i gave up with the scratch clear wax. [:|]

hi Odyssey02, don't mean to hijack this thread that was meant to discuss soft99 products...but have you tried P21S/S100 Carnauba wax? If you are applying and removing the wax by hand, this is a god send product. Reasonably priced, buttery soft to apply and remove and great great result. Very well received and reviewed product (rated #1 paste wax in Guru Reports) and my favourite wax at the moment (besides the Meguiar's #16) [thumbsup]

The cleaner in NXT is very mild, so strictly speaking it is not classified as a cleaner wax. And if I'm not wrong the cleaner in #20 is actually slightly strong than NXT, so the more proper way is to layer NXT over #20.

Correct. However since #20 and NXT Tech Wax are both polymer sealant, so for a better result is to top #20 with a carnauba wax

...oh and don't forget the 12 hours cure time if you are using #20. Best is to leave it over night and wax the next morning.

There is cleaner in the GC wax so if you apply GC over fusso 9 months, fusso 9 months will be removed. Another alternative is to apply a pure wax over fusso 9 months, something like Soft99 Authentic series, #26 from Meguair or Mother's Pure Carnauba Wax if you like the carnauba look.

GC is a carnauba wax and fusso 9 will not bond so well onto GC and the durability of Fusso 9 will be affected. In fact its recommanded to apply a sealant first follow by a pure carnauba wax or layer by a sealant again.

hmm, today went to autobacs and the stocks for authentic premium have run out. however, it seems that authentic premium DOES HAVE cleaning properties, and in fact it has better cleaning effect as compared to fusso 7 based on a comparision chart put up on the wall between authentic premium, the water repelling wax and fusso 7, so really wondering if the authentic premium will remove the fusso 9 like how u all apply it as above.

I'm not too sure about the premium wax, I'm using the Authentic Gold. The wax applied on very easy (go thin) and comes off pretty easy too, the feeling is just like applying S100 which is a pure carnauba wax. One major problem with SOft99 products is all the explaination in Japanese, web site can find english version but very brief and not much detail information. If you are interested just to try out the Authentic Gold a small portion on your car, you can send me a PM to arrange for a trying out session.

haha, today very satisfied with the results. started at 8.30 with the wash and finished with the fusso 9 and tyre dressing at 12.30. did the scratch clear wax in small sections and wiped off with the new turtle wax microfibre cloths bought yesterday. really really easy to use although encountered some streaking here and there. well, on the whole very happy, scratches and swirls all hidden.

Yes, Fusso is the easiest "apply & forget" sealant that I ever come across. All thanks to your tips [nod][thumbsup] . Others have to buff off [sweatdrop][sweatdrop] .

Use it as a quick detailer? I doubt so. Better to go and buy the actual QD available at DIY, Autobacs, Autoaccs or Stamford. [laugh][laugh]

Saw a Fusso spray at Autobacs over the weekend. Lasts 90 days (3 mths)

Also saw a Fusso F7 - supposed to be tougher and shinier than prev. Fussos....
