Hi

I'm experiencing juddering wipers too but i had not apply rain-x before.

I use zaino car shampoo to wash the windscreen during washing.

The juddering usually starts to occur after a few minutes.

Any idea what is causing this juddering?

Will this cerium oxide helps or I should try other stuffs?

actually racing cars windows r made fr some kinda plastic, not perspex though.

it's amazing when u look at tuning cars like fairlady fr Topfuel, the door is so filmsy.

i noe a temporally solution is juz keep spraying the windscreen water c/w typical car windscreen cleaner solution (blue color) added. It helps to lubricate the wiper blades.[laugh] [laugh] [laugh][:p]

Twister has came out with the "Spa" package, that consists of a normal sponge, a 3M sanding pad, and some "unnamed" powder. Use mama lemon and the rough surface of the sponge (that looks like green wool) to clean the windscreen surface, and then use 3M sanding pad to go over the windscreen.

Then using the smooth side of the sponge, dap some "unnamed" chemical. Work in circular motion, and watch the beading disappear! The Spa package is retailing for S$39.90, at Stamford tyres.

The unamed chemical is already known by so many of us already. Not a mystery. Cerium oxide. 39.90 is a ripoff. You can get good quality CeO paste from Autobaccs. Takehara Pro-Staff and Silicon-X to name a few. Way cheaper than the 39.90 by a big margin and you can get from Mr Sheeto for the powder for 10 bucks.

Search the forum lah. Whoever buys into this Twister spa packaged are all fleeced. I repeat to grind more salt to everyone's wounds. ALL WHO BOUGHT THE PACKAGED ARE FLEECED!

Wanted to do that but decided to just keep to normal tap water. My juddering was solved wayyyy back when I changed my stock wipers to Bosch. Never allowed petrol kiosk attendants to touch my windscreen as well (except the rear). I just use the window cleaner solution, spray, Scotch scrub pad (the delicate one...zero scratch), rinse. No more judders.

Well, not more than 10. Do a search. There is extensive write up on CeO and the Japanese products. Someone did a translation from Japanese as well. Search for Silicon-X.

if you look at the back label, bullet point #3, i think it means 'hydrophilic' in kanji (chinese characters)

btw, how you use this cleaner? is just apply using the pad, wait for it to dry, then wipe off using clean cloth?
