Just got my new car one month ago. I guess it is time to do some cleaning and conditioning for my car leather seats [:p]

Any brand to recommend? I saw in this forum brands like Mother, Meguiars, Zaino.. etc. which is good and economical? and where to get them? Most people says Mother brand is good, but where to find them. Called a few shops, but they said they have stop take stock of such brand. Wondering why [lipsrsealed] ?

bot a bottle of Wurth's Leder-plfege, german brand from Hap Li at AMK Autopt. For 35 bucks, it is a larger bottle than that of Zaino or Autoglym.. they use it for their Rolls and Jags. They are the agent for Malayan Motors. Try it.. Cleaning agent based on extracts from cow fat.

The zaino conditioner leaves my leather looking new, easy to apply provided you use the right pad.I used umm a cotton towel to apply last time [dizzy] and always got spots where I missed. Then I used an mf applicator pad that I got free from an order , and since then very consistent application, I love the nice leather smell that it leaves in the whole car , the smell is almost similar to new leather .

As for leather cleaner, I didn't get the one from zaino, I just used damp clothes to wipe the surface [sunny]

I suggest you get Murphy's Oil Soap to use as leather cleaner. It doesn't strip away the oils that is inherent in leather. Conditioner can use Lemon Pledge Leather conditioner. This combo is super cheap.

So whcih one did you get in the end?

Autoglym leather cleaner and cream are pretty good too. Have tried it. The leather smell is different from the other brands but still pretty significant.

had the same challenge when I was using the same product. Chandra advised me to use a sponge to apply the cream followed by a piece of cloth. Pretty effective.

Have been using zaino since day1 on my leathers. Do it monthly and after 1.5yr of ownership, my seats still look and feel brand new. Try the zaino 'leather in a bottle'. You cant go wrong. [;)]

Are you still using the Murphy Oil Soap + Lemon Pledge Leather conditioner combo for your leather seats?

i got no leather seats in my pig karp but i got a white leather sofa at home

i used to use some leather doctor stuff but didn't work out to give me the clean and shinny effect

then i used Meguiars leather cleaner [thumbsup] , did the job all right

then i got lazy and started to use a car polishing equipment (you know those machines which go round and round very fast?) with the leather cleaner.....makes the job done in double quick time [laugh][laugh][laugh]

then i got really lazy.....never clean for half a year.....now even with the leather cleaner and polishing equipent also cannot remove little dark stains..... [bigcry][bigcry][bigcry]
