Hi,

I am currently looking into buying a second hand A33 cefiro. I recently noticed a switch labeled as mentioned in the topic. Its situated to the south-west of the gear lever. Anyone knows what it does?

Thx

thx for the reply.

for a 2l car, it dosent produce as much power as other 2l cars.

but in here http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/22222/

hp and torque is higher then that of figures in local mags, ect.

is the local cefiro a lower spec version?

another quick question.

does any1 in this forum own a car with this feature?

if yes, does it make any noticable improvements?(besides the obvious increased in FC)

I believe there are people here that own such cars, i think the forester XT has this switch too. gossip.gif

Improvements in responsiveness, not output, which is the samewink.gif

The humble Nissan Sunny already has this "overdrive" switch which makes for more agressive gear switching........ Forester has it too which seems enable earlier spooling, but the drive feels like front wheel drive [sweatdrop]

more like severly detuned.. frown.gif

there are a few of this JDM cefiro running around, not too bad for a 2L sly.gifsly.gifsly.gif you buying the one that's brought in by TCM ??

the OD switch just downshifts to 3rd if ur on 4th

which can also b done with a heavier foot to kickdown the gear

i dont think it changes gears more quicky...@ least not on my current car.

Think the OD switch allows for more aggressive upshifts (i.e. allows you to drag longer in one gear) before shifting up. In fact, think it actually changes gear more slowly [sweatdrop]

Try heavy footing the throttle with & without the OD switch to see if there's any diff.

I had been trying to figure out what that button was on my mom's car. tried turning on and off.... dun feel any difference. Guess, i didn't know what it was, thus never really concentrate on the transmission thing. It say A/T Power or Auto.... All along I thot it was for the radio Antenna. Wahahahahahahahahahhahaaaaaa............. [laugh]
