Bryanho Neutral Newbie August 16, 2004 Share August 16, 2004 Yoko AD07.. can consider.. but I'm not really a fan of Yokohama as I sometimes drive a mitsubishi with the Aspec DB.. I don't really have a good impression of it... If the AD07 is something.. would like to try.. Keep an open mind.. Thanks for your reply bro!
Zombie Neutral Newbie August 16, 2004 Share August 16, 2004 Any idea how does the GIII compare to ES100 in terms of noise? Got a few complains on my tyre noise, thus looking for alternative when it is about time to change. Actually was thinking of using AD07 next.

Silver_blade Turbocharged August 17, 2004 Share August 17, 2004 Don't know about the GIII, but ES100 wear out too fast. After 10,000km, it started to get noisy and lost some grip when cornering.

Panda Neutral Newbie August 17, 2004 Author Share August 17, 2004 AD07 quieter than ES100. As for threadlife, actually ES100 is much better of course. Its just that the rapid degradation of the quality of ES100, you'll feel that the tire would need a change too soon.
Panda Neutral Newbie August 17, 2004 Author Share August 17, 2004 (edited) Tyres are a big expenditure to me. Need to hunt for good lobangs first. Edited August 17, 2004 by Icerain
Silver_blade Turbocharged August 17, 2004 Share August 17, 2004 Especially if your ride is running on larger rims and odd size tyres. My friend once spent as much as $500/tyre for 19" CSC2.

Panda Neutral Newbie August 17, 2004 Author Share August 17, 2004 AD07 is not bad la... Dun think about price and thread life too much... its light its got very tough sidewalls its got nice soft compound its grippy it makes a nice aggressive howl when provoked it makes the right noises and shifts progressively before giving up its grip Will I buy it again? Definitely not. Cos I too cheapo for this kinda tyres. It's quite expensive...

Silver_blade Turbocharged August 17, 2004 Share August 17, 2004 Take it easy lah... ...sorry...can't help laughing. Btw, which tyres are you looking at? Heard Pirelli Dragon is pretty good. RE040 wouldn't be cheap for your tyre profile. What to do....that's the price to pay for having nice, big rim... ↡ Advertisement
