Removing water spots on glass

Notice some hard water deposits on my rear windscreen. Its white in color and when i run my fingers over them, its not smooth. I tried using ScratchX and brown vinegar but still no help. Must it be white vinegar?

Some use razor blade, toothpaste . So I start looking for another alternative and keeping the S100 FR for my chrome .

If you can get 1M NaOH, confirm gone. Glass become super smooth and very wettable. The problem is this. How do you get this dangerous item?

 

Got to flush with lots of water to just clear it.
