Cordia_gsr Neutral Newbie August 9, 2004 Share August 9, 2004 crank meaning starting the engine ah ? :P sorry ah very noob :) but mine is a MT not ATroughly it takes 2-4 sec depending on its mood :( btw if windscreen wiper is too tight i can loosen it myself or need to get it done by others ? Ermm, i feel that cranking up to 4 sec is way too long. Usually, it's 1 sec, at most 2. Have you checked the battery itself and the cable conenctions? Another one to check is the spark plugs. Worse come to worse, it could be the fuel regulator.
Cordia_gsr Neutral Newbie August 9, 2004 Share August 9, 2004 How about 15" sports rim use on the Ignis, will it perform & look better? What is the top speed you have achieved so far with your Ignis... Mine is a Manual Ignis(Not I.S.). But me using I.S's 15" Enkei rim (See Pic Below) Top speed i tried is 140km/hr. Bro, i think your ride can do more than that. I remember recently i have a little of fun with the same model as yours. When we are on par, i took a glance and my speedo read 165. Smoon Neutral Newbie August 10, 2004 Share August 10, 2004 Hi to all, I'm interested in buying the Suzuki Ignis 1.3 AT car as I loved the look of it on the road. But I know nothing about the performance of the car as compare for instance with the famous Hyundai Matrix. Fuel consumption of the Suzuki Ignis also must be in consideration. Please help me in all these details. Thanks & warmest regards to all. Hi AJ68, I'm considering the Ignis as well after comparing it to the Hyundai Getz and Chevrolet Avoe. Now waiting for reply from the agent on some questions :) Anyway, just thought I'd pass on some of my research to you: Review on ignis: http://www.aas.com.sg/features/archive/f04013.htm Fuel consumption: http://www.neec.gov.sg/fueleconomy/fuellabel.asp Suzuki website: http://www.championmotors.com.sg/ Of course these are all on paper and suppose you know know how it's really going to perform unless you own it for awhile. Have u gone for a test drive? Eh? Got a facelift coming out meh?
Psychoboy Neutral Newbie August 10, 2004 Share August 10, 2004 http://www.wrc.com/News.aspx?PO_ID=3966&fl...True&lang=en_GB I think he mean Swift is coming out with a facelift. and it was rumours that Ignis will took over Swift in Suzuki.
Smoon Neutral Newbie August 10, 2004 Share August 10, 2004 i c... but this is a pretty dated model isn't it? What's the "shelf life" of a new car, that is, how long after it's been out on the market can it be considered "old". Suppose the reason why the Suzuki Ignis is cheaper as compared to it's other cars is cos it came out in 2001 or 2002 (are the same model all issued in the same year or are there batches?) Should this be a concern? Eg., will this car be phased out and will it be hard to get parts as a result? Or any other considerations, I should take note? Also, the car does not come with ABS. What kind of implications will there be? Not too sure if it's because it's an old model or deliberate but back windows have to be manually adjusted (no power windows). But for me, I'm more concerned about functionalities (engine esp.) rather than asthetics so fine with me. Just thot it kinda weird and funny
Juzzme 3rd Gear August 10, 2004 Share August 10, 2004 Not sure if the new facelift will be making it into local market, but anyway there was a previous post on this: http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gforum.cgi?post=603709

Cordia_gsr Neutral Newbie August 10, 2004 Share August 10, 2004 Hi Lebonchi, Yes, i am quite sure. It started from SLE merging TPE and all the way till Pasir Ris exit. It was kind of madness when i come to think of it now. Some stretch i pushed way beyond 165 and managed to widen the car lengths to about 5. When i acutally reduced to 140, the ignis caught up within seconds and off i go again. This went on for at least 3 cycles. So i am pretty sure Ignis can go very fast
Titanium 4th Gear August 12, 2004 Share August 12, 2004 Bro, i think your ride can do more than that. I remember recently i have a little of fun with the same model as yours.
