Crankcase Vent Filter

Shops selling K&N filters would sometime have it. If not go to the agent in Aljunied and get it...I think its call Speedworks or something like dat....near Tannery Lane.

BTW...if you are running on fuel injection cars...watch out. The vent filter may cause problems to your ECU reading. Some cars suffer from idling problems when they install it. If you still need this, you might have to install the oil catch tank as a alternative.

Go to any of the better mod shops and they will sell. Places like ST Power, BKS, Espace etc...

I can't recall the price...I think I paid around 200plus for it.

Look around the forums and see if anyone selling 2nd hand units lor. Usually going for around 50-100 depending on condition.

for 200 plus might as well use a E68 (or Airmax). Connect E68 hose straight to the PCV inlet at air manifold and then PCV T-off at the hose. High airflow from E68 naturally sucks out (venturi principle) the fumes inside your engine crankcase while improves your low-end pickup and saves fuel.

Remember to add paper filter cut=out from any filter element and adjust the airflow.

The oil catch tank adds no horse power and its a totally different function to the E68/Airmax. I have no experience with the latter so I cannot comment on its useful and effectiveness.

The oil catch tank or crank case vent basically catches the blow by oil (engine oil) and not route it back to the combustion chamber where by it will be combusted and you see white smoke coming out from your exhaust. Instead of routing it back to the chamber where it will burn...the blow by oil is routed to the oil catch tank.

But if you do not rev your car...there is little point in getting the oil catch tank.

If you pay 200 just for a crankcase ventilation filter, might as well pay 150 get an E68 that helps performance, saves fuel and also ventilates engine crankcase.
