Hi all Mazda owner, may I know what type of syn oil are you using for your 323? If I wanted to change my gear oil (maunal car)as well, what grade & band should I use?

Check with your owners manual. Usually it is 80W90 or 75W90. Syn gear oil is very expensive. Better stick to dino gear oil. Some people say, syn gear oil is smoother. YMMV.

Have tried to call MM to find out can I bring my own oil for my next servicing or not. But every time, they just let me hold on to the phone for so long & end up the line cut off [furious] Don't understand why can't they just tell me can or cannot, even email them oso not reply after 1 week [thumbsdown]

The grade damn funny here. Most common is 75W90 in the workshops and stores. In MY, most common is 80W90.

The difference? None! 75W90 is 80W90! Dunno why they call it 75W90 here because the official grade is 80W90. [dizzy]
