Is Elf brand from France?

 

I know there are a number of French oils but none seem to make it in Singapore. In fact Singaporeans dont seem to care much abt the oils in the car. When asked, I imagine most will tell you that they leave it to the workshop or they will use whatever is on offer in the workshop.... or else, most will swear by Shell Helix and Mobil 1 no matter how much more it cost compared to Elf or RP or Fuch.

JTA only uses one oil in the workshop for Skoda.

Its a French oil as well called YACCO.

 

Never hear this brand before I knew JTA - would imagine YACCO is dirt cheap for them to consider using such an unknown brand.

ELF, FINA and TOTAL are all french under one merged company.

Hi, juz went to motogard to change eng oil yesterday. Please remember the engine oil is from a big oil drum (not from 4L plastic container). Think they buy in bulk so can charge at that price.

I bet big service places also use oil from drums Well as long the oil comes from an ELF drum, 80% safe

Yup, it only make sense for the workshops like Motogard to get the stock in drum quantities... they use a drum load of engine oil easily probably every 2-3 days.
