FIA release performance cutting proposals

The FIA has today (Friday) provided the Formula One teams with details of a package of measures to reduce the performance of Formula One cars and hence improve safety.

 

These measures are likely to be imposed by the sport

3. Engine (2005)

One engine to last for two race weekends.

Explanation: both peak and average power will be less than for an engine with a shorter life.

 

This year ... cars are on the one engine ruling , but they are still going faster than ever dizzy.gif

 

Soon F1 will be as slow as Driving Ms Daisy laugh.gif

woah, tat's really quite drastic leh...

No good leh, hehe, wait our road cars faster than them. F1 can throw face already...

 

But i hope they dun go back to normal manual transmissions and old technology. I mean F1 is supposed to be the peak of cutting edge technology. Road car technology mostly come from F1. If road car more advanced, can really throw face...

the proposalof V8 engines...i really dislike it...1 is becoz that V8 is slower...2ndly with a new engine more $$ will be pumped in for research 2 make it faster...hence the privateer teams(jordan and minardi) will go kaput....
