Hi

Just got myself a new Matrix & proud to join you guys & (ladies as well) in MCF.

[laugh]

I just switched to a Matrix after my sunny. I am impressed with the interior & handling. the ride is also much smoother. Hyundai has come a long way since their mitsubishi engine... [scholar]

it's the 1.6L. You are right about the hidden compartments and storage.. [nod] . Sometimes i'll forget abt the bottles of beer i stashed away at the back till it become hot sake. [sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

Anyway, Got the agent to throw in the solar film and reverse sensors for free. Should have asked for S rims but was thinking of getting the bigger agressive ones myself...

1) Any Matrix owner with 17"? recently saw a renault scenic with 17" and body kit..

damm nice.. of course FC is a consideration.

2) Any idea if there's any bodykit for Matrix? don't see much around other than the side bar (did i get it correct?)

if u're concern about fc i dun recommend u to upgrade too much. juz go frm 14 to 15 inch will do.

my uncle is owns a 1.8 one and frankly i find the fc very high. even for the 1.8 one.

some might say becuz higher cc. but u can also argue that lower cc less hp. thus u need to revv more to keep it going.

anyway the point is matrix fc not very good so dun upgrade too much. [:)]

juz my 2cents. no offence to u.

[thumbsup][thumbsup] alrite man.. more are seeing the true value of the korean's....

Look at the film, music industry... South Korea is on the way up... [;)]

I took the package from KMC. Around 68K with free installments.

Effectively 64K. FC to me is considered ok.. it's the abt the same with my Sunny.. (maybe i should be comparing with other makes..)

But let see..

I have heard stories of adding the broquet.. and other stuff.. but i am still doing my research so i shan;t comment now.. [lipsrsealed]

If any bros or sis know abt such stuff, will be most keen to learn from the experts,..

hmmm speaking of which i juz remembered... matrix dun need to do body kit. maybe u could jus add the chrome side bar(something like a steping bar) to the bottom side of the car. that will be nice. tint ur windows? i hope Komoco got give u the rear spoiler... and maybe window visors?

Yup . The rear spoiler, walnut furnishing comes in the package. Ask the agent to throw in the Solar film, reverse sensors & visors for free. The sales exec gave them without any tots.. (I should have realised the high margin they are earning then)

Anyway, I was a little bit in cloud 9 that day with this freebies that i forgot all abt the important S rim. So now i got to go fix my rims.

SO would be buyers, List now the things you want and ask them to throw in for free... [:)]

with the current mkt, they may just do it.. but i think can forget abt borneo motors, the sales exec just throw you the price sheet and says that what's on offer. Any addition = pay pay pay... [rifle][mad]

.......Just wait 1 day, when the $$ is full in my pocket...

Hi Zham,

I'm also interested in getting a Matrix but quite reluctant as the report regarding the fuel consumption especially on the first 5000 mileage & the 'not so good' servicing at the agent.

Will you convince me on the new Matrix as like you, I'm really impressed with the interior & the dead spaces but....?

Hi may I reiterate again. FC is a function of individual driving habits and driving style. My red matrix is six months and from Day 1 till now, I have been achieving 11-11.5km/litre using 95. For me on weekdays, 80% highway and on weekends, 50% highway. Everyweek withou fail, need to pump 45 litres and that will get me about 490-510km.

My car is stock items and no modification has been done. My is an 1.6A.

If anyone has doubt in me, I welcome you to sit in my car for 1 week from jurong to AMK and back. :-)

cheers, no hard feeling.

PS: not targeting anyone but just feeling annoyed that when it comes to korean make, people tends to lean towards the negative aspect. but when it comes to japan make, the negative aspects are brushed aside. To reinforce my stand, my house LG 29" TV gives me a 5 years warranty! which japanese brand gives a 5 years warranty? Whose LCD is the best in the world? (Samsung)

Hi Rayleigh,

How 'bout the servicing at Komoco - any problems so far? What is the best free accessories I can ask if I want to purchase Matrix..

Dont be too cheese off by bad remarks on Korean makes. Jap makes are just as bad when comes to FC ( waiting to be chopped by others ). Also Korean goods are just as good if not better than Jap ones.
