Pauly75ts Neutral Newbie September 28, 2002 Share September 28, 2002 "any gd exhaust shops around in JB" Hi! there, Accent, I use Gerry's Exhaust, opposite the Traffic Police(JB), which have a ramp, if you missed it, they have another down the road, which I don't go to, as they use hydraulic jacks. I went to Visworks with a bunch of guys from KL, they were not too impressed with the results, not too sure how much they charge though, should be less than RM100. Accent Neutral Newbie September 28, 2002 Author Share September 28, 2002 hmm..okie.point noted.but read from the Visworks website that they are the official distributor for spore and malaysia.they also claimed they have the neccessary equipment to do a proper job.actually i'm quite interested in the price for their Unichip "piggybacks", from RM 1699 , with dyno-tuning ley.... Also thinking of fixing a RSM GP there, that is if they can do it lah, bcuz most shops in spore are not able to fix one on my Accent as they don't have the maps. Another thing...what do u guys think of made in johor headers? does gerry can do one?
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie September 30, 2002 Share September 30, 2002 Unichip had mixed reviews. Some got positive feedbacks while others didn't feel much worth that $800 you'd spend. I'd suggest U try other sorts of simple mods to improve the throttle response rather than outright bhp as modding to get that extra 5 bhp at 5000rpm won't fulfill your power needs in daily drives where most of the time you'd see less than 3500rpm from one traffic light to another. Newkid 2nd Gear October 1, 2002 Share October 1, 2002 I went there for the RM1699 package. Ask him to show you the dyno chart for the Hyundai Coupe done in May 02. The effect was good initially, but got used to it after a while. Look for Anthony, he's the tuner. As for headers, ask him to direct you to Chan Hwee near Carrefour. I got my headers changed there and must say they are good. Boss is tua tao and u can ask him several qns regaring exhausts to verify. Hope this helps. Cheers. Nitehawk Neutral Newbie October 2, 2002 Share October 2, 2002 if it an accent....shd be alright...cos..i believe they had done it b4....dun take my word for it....either u try it or 4get abt it...cos..hearsay will not lead u to any where. for unichip tuning...there are ard two in SG & 1 in JB...been viswrk for JB & "dean" & MAX. mixed feeling abt unichip are bound to had...but i do feel it "value for money"...atless after looking at de dyno printout at viswrk. *trust urself when MOD,and trust no one when boost start to RUN*
Accent Neutral Newbie October 3, 2002 Author Share October 3, 2002 its been running through my mind too.. thinking of NOSing.currently looking around for means of increasing Hp w/out turning to TCing cause i feel TCing requires way too much money and also afraid that reliabilty will suffer. Thinking of using ZEX.any ideas where can i get it and how much?using it in a standard engine wouldn't be a problem rite?muz i increase fuelling too cause heard that too lean a mixture when u NOSified will spell trouble. where in spore can i go for chipping..and besides unichip, any other piggybacks that are reccomended? Thanx!!
