They dont check the light bulbs but they do use a device trvel across the front of the car from one side to another to scan the brightness and leveling of the headlights.

For show only lah... last time my headlights failed but overall still pass inspection.

Headlight inspection really for show only. The guy was standing in front of the headlight tester checking something else, that caused the fail as he's blocking the entire headlight.

Beats me why LTA still insist on having this station.

During my most recent inspection, I was expecting to fail the headlight station as my lao pok chia have never passed before. Yes, it failed indeed.

Out of curiosity, I asked the fellow who was at the last station and he replied: oh, 9 of 10 cars will fail this station, so no big deal. He smiled and handed the certificate to me.

I think LED is LED not bulbs..

LED. Light Emitting Diode. They draw much less energy than filament types, because they produce much less HEAT in proportion to LIGHT. Indoor lights went from filament, to fluorescent, to LED, with energy draw going down each time.

i bought these for my shuttle reverse lights ... just remove, plug and play.

I also changed my reverse lights to a similar LED type and no issue, also I changed out my third brake light to LED. Still no luck with the main brake lights and signal lights.
