When you say best shine is that all you want? You see what makes a wax/sealant product shine does not necessarily result in good durability or resistence to corrosive elements.

For example, in the test we did of 25 of the more popular paint sealants and waxes used by detailers, many on this forum we found the following results:

HIGHEST INCREASE IN GLOSS BEFORE AND AFTER APPLICATION

1. Klasse 32.8% increase

2. TST 5000 32.6% increase

3. Valuguard 32.0% increase

4. 2180 AS Ultra 31.2% increase

5. DIAMOND PLUS 30.9% increase

GLOSS INCREASE/DEGREASE AFTER 12 WASHINGS

1. Zymol Cleaner 5.16% increase

2. Aerospace 1.08% increase

3. DIAMOND PLUS 0.01% decrease

4. Gold Edition 0.11% decrease

5. American Shine 0.16% decrease

NOTE: Klasse had a 0.68 % decrease

TST 5000 had a 0.21% decrease

Valuguard had a 1.01% decrease

SALTWATER CORROSION RESISTENCE

1. DIAMOND PLUS

1. ZAINO BROS

1. 885 FLEETWAX

2 Ultracoat

2 Zymol Carbon

Interesting to note that Klasse; TST and Valuguard the top 3 in Gloss Increase were 21st; 18th & 19th respectivley in corrosion resistence.

So when you say you are looking for the best shine is that all you want or do you want shine, durability and corrosion resistence.

Key here is that any chemical company can make their product do anything they want. It is all about setting up a test model and adding those ingredients that create shine; durablity and corrosion resistence.

However, it is very difficult to get anyone product to be all things. The ingredients that result in high shine are often not very durable or resistent to corrosion. Those that are resistent to corrosion do not leave a high shine.

So the chemist or the marketing dept of the chemical company has to determine what they want a product to do more than anything else.

Shine always wins out because that is the easiest to measure. Corrosion resistence is very difficult to measure unless you set up a test model.

Of course, PRICE is a big player too. Chemists can formulate great products but they might cost more than the marketing and sales dept want to sell the product for on the market.

Hope that helps understand how wax/sealant products are formulated. No wizardry, no magic, no razzle-dazzle, just basic chemistry a combination of products to achieve a desired result.

TST 5000 is actually called .INDINOR TST 5000, check the link: http://www.indinor.pt/webcat/product.asp?p=704

885 Fleetwax is actually Collinite #885 Wax. A marine/boat wax. So it is pretty tough. Together with Collinite #845 Wax, the good thing I hear about this thing is that is cheaper than cheap! Check here: http://www.collinite.com/

Zymol Carbon Wax is for black, red and dark colored cars.

You can check out American Shine here: http://www.americanshine.com/.

Aerospace is from this company called 303: http://www.303products.com

I believe 2180 AS Ultra is a product of Finish Kare. http://www.fk1usa.com/index.php
