Magikarp Neutral Newbie September 30, 2007 Share September 30, 2007 (edited) The package currently offered by KM seems attractive. Questions is it the right time to get the Jazz? A bit silly right since the new model is arriving soon. But the SE at KM told me the new one will only arrive in end 2008 leh (sales gimmick?). Paul78 Neutral Newbie September 30, 2007 Share September 30, 2007 If u thinking of Jazz or 1.3 Fit, as well buy Jazz. Even buying from AD can have problem, whats more buying from PI. Somemore, 1.3 Fit and Jazz about the same. Unless you wanted more horsepower, then maybe more worth to take the risk to get a 1.5 Vtec Fit from PI. Else I would say buy Jazz. Jazz got a lot of accessories. http://www.shc-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=89800

Ahfit Neutral Newbie November 10, 2007 Share November 10, 2007 I felt worried aft reading this... I just got the charsis no for my Fit, it starts wif GDI-xxxxxxx... Which means my Fit is not originally from Japan??? Anyway my advice to those who are getting either Jazz or Fit... Dun get from PIs... I waited FOUR MONTHS for my Fit... and I am still waiting for it now. Quote From what I understand, you can glean certain info from the Chasis No. (found around metal tags in the car, some can be seen at the bottom corner of the windscreen) and it has a typical standard format, ie... JHMEUXXXXXXXXXXXX. J - Country of Origin (Japan) H - Manufacturer Code (For Honda, its 'H', for Toyota its prob 'T') M - Not sure what it stands for EU - Chasis/ Body Code (For ES/EK/EG bros, it should be ES/EK/EG respectively) So if its from Japan, it should start with 'J'. Just something to share, hope it helps in clarifying any doubts. Btw... Even if it says 'J' doesn't mean everything in it is Made in Japan, they still can source the hide from China, radiator from India, wheels from Thailand, etc....
