Alternative to replacing leaky evaporator?

Sounds good to me! Read it from the usenet that it really works, and is much cheaper compared to replacing evaporators, especially hard-to-find ones or continental car ones.

The best alternative is still the conventional alumimiun brazing.

Brazing is welding done at a lower temperature.

But if the leakage is somewhere "inside" the evaporator (i.e. inside the fins), then u can't braze it, can u?

 

Anyway, is brazing popular here? How much damage to the wallet?
