Just spied this product selling in Home Fix DIY. I went to the Nanolux website: http://www.nanolux.com/.

This is an excerpt of the company:

Its very challenging to DIY for the front and rear windscreen.

Would be a piece of cake for the 4 door window [nod][:p]

DIY at you own risk [laugh][laugh]

According to them, going to a professional certified Nanolux installer costs $150 for the whole car. Raw materials (Nanolux films) excluded. Not a bad deal.

Prices look pretty good. a 20X60" costs $22, 24X60" costs $28 and 40X60" costs $40.

But the Superlux series recommended for front windscreens costs a whoppng $108 for the 40X60" size.

Gonna be difficult. My glass is certified 70% VLT. If put in Superlux 85 or 70, VLT will drop to 50%, theoretically. Pretty much against LTA rulings. Still considering.

The Focus is also tinted as stock, so not sure which film to use that will meet LTA requirements. sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif

I've just got my online order for Nano 60 and Lux 65. Will be installing this weekend when there is adequate light. I've got some questions before I start.

Any tips for me?

How much time do I have to adjust/remove the film before it dries and becomes unmovable?

Should I apply the film on the glass when the glass is warm or cold?

Can I outline the perimeter to cut on the film itself with a marker pen?

How do I remove the cashcard reader?

Thanks!

u're very gungho ah...

i had nanolux installed in my car last week. they spray baby shampoo to clean both sides of the glass. spray the exterior glass and place the film on it to cut it to size. then they spray the interior glass and film with lots of baby shampoo, paste the film onto the glass and adjust until fit. lastly, use a roller or wiper or whatever you call it to squeeze out the extra liquid.

hopefully this helps. but i tell u, it's tough work to install the film onto the car.

Hi,

I've mine done last month at Cooling Venture located at Paya Ubi.

They did the same method as mentioned by Zakuii also. Actually, you can cut any object on the glass and will not get any scratches at all. BTY, Cooling Venture is having 15% discount promotion.
