Hi all, I got the same problems also when I choose SPC 92 in Feb 04. Now I use Shell 98, the guage reading is accurate until recently that my engine seen to have problems after my battery dried up. Sent in to SA and they have taken some reading and sent the test result to GM HQ. They will retune/program my engine tomorrow after GM HQ have provided the programe. If they can't solve my problems, I will [rifle][whip][knife] [furious]GM and the mechanic tomorrow. Ha Ha.

most times, hit red line....once or twice red light blinks.

I'm not really hard on my accelerator......only love to speed after the car has picked up nicely.....unless some whack job out there gets on my nerves....then I turn on the 'hold' switch & drag the gears.....

Wah, you all lucky. Mine can get the most 400km. [sweatdrop] I am very unlucky that my Optra engine is having problems after diagnostic work by SA. (no power and very heavy. No reaction after pressed the accelerator >1/2) They have taken the performance program and send to GM HQ. Now they GM mechanic is performing some operation on my poor Optra in SA as they mentioned that it is their first case so far. They will re-program the enigne tuning. Hope they will rectify my problems else I will complain to LTA. [furious] So guys, please check your Optra battery oh. [laugh]

I really did not think petrol brand can cause erratic fuel meter reading when it happened to mine a couple of months back, until I read yours.

I am using Shell 98 on my Vivant all this while until I found myself out of petrol and reluctantly fill it up with SPC, the nearest one. Then the erratic movement starts.

I took me two 2 full tanks of Shell to get the meter to behave but never as good as before.

might be the MIXING that cause this chemical reaction. i cross mix shell 92 & mobil 2000 also give me funny reading. now pump back mobil2000, getting stable...

always though we can mix any grade gas, but now think twice... think difference brand use difference chemical... wild guess, other who have problem, can help prove this, ok? [sweatdrop][sweatdrop]
