TIME TO IMPROVE FOR JAGUAR

Jaguar's managing director David Pitchforth has said that it is about time his team started to finally live up to its potential when it takes to the track in the Canadian Grand Prix.

Mark Webber has won Jaguar just three points in seven races in the 2004 season and Pitchforth wants an immediate improvement on a lowly eighth place in the constructors' championship.

"Qualifying two drivers as high as possible is the aim for Canada and then capitalising on this to get points from both drivers," Pitchforth told jaguar-racing.com

"It's important that we start to see the results that we know the team is capable of. We have been working extremely hard alongside our partners Michelin and our sister companies Cosworth Racing and Pi Research.

"We continue to pull together and I look forward to seeing the results.

"Canada is a good competitive race and I am keen to see the guys on track getting the most out of the R5 and making the most of any points opportunity."

1st qualifying is over .....

But does anyone notice this ??

Micheal Shumacher doesnt seem to be changing gears during those in car shots. But the car seem to be changing gears ... I cant seem to see his fingers moving to change gears at all

Its pretty obvious with Barichello , who is changing gears frantically is the same car. Is Shumi running an automatic gearbox .... which incidently is banned this year ?

Can someone else take a look .... cause I have been noticing this for the past few GPs

Look at his in car shots and look at his hands on the steering wheels .... no finger movement at all

Good morning folks! This is DarkLord reporting live for the Canadian GP! As we know, from the results of the qualifying run, RS (of all people!) is holding P1 with JB along side him. JT and JPM in the 2nd row with FA and MS bringing up the third. Seems like the Scarlet Reds will have a job to catch up on the front runners based on the qualifying results.... But who knows what drama this race will throw! So stay in tune, guys and gals!

RS (WTF??!) is on pole after a "dunno come from where" lap in qualifying yesterday!

Just a reminder to you folks and Ferrari fans out there! MS is looking for a record 7th victory at the Canadian GP is on P6!

Timo Glock (TG) is on the "clock" today for Jordan (pardon the punt), standing for GP who pulled out due to "personal matters".

RS is leading the cars out for the formation lap.
