It depends on how well u install.

My VP is about 2 years & still ok.

U must remember to never touch the glass part of the bulb cos the oil on your fingers wil burn when the bulb gets super hot & cause it to blow prematurely. All halogen bulbs r like this.

Also if u happen to get a pack which was opened b4 u & got contaminated, then it wil blow very quickly.

My installer wore clean white cotton gloves & was very careful not to let the glass touch anything when he installed it.

DV and CV won't last as long as VP...

VP should last for as long as the stock bulbs...

i suspect the blue coating on the DV and CV bulbs trap too much heat, affecting longevity.

The DV I have in my car have lasted more than a year already. It depends on the installer cos if oilly hands touch the glass on the bulb will cos it to blow earlier. DV can get at around $70 and VP is around $30 include installation.

DV is brighter if you look at the bulb from the outside but from within the car, VP is better cos yellow light throws further.

OK thanks. Cos now I using VP & find it getting not so bright cos it's abt 2 years old.

Even when new it was not that bright.

Maybe slightly better than original halogen bulbs only. [:/]

the bluer the tint, the leseer the actual light output.

VP is the brightest among DV, CV and VP.

VP would be best for MY driving.

just because it appears whiter doesn't mean it's really brighter...

I'm confused [dizzy]

You posted 'VP doesn't throw light better than DV'

Then 'DV doesn't throw as far as stock bulbs or VP...'

So which is which? From what I understand is with VP can see further. DV throw is very bad and is worse if during heavy rain or hazy conditions.

Almost changed all my bulbs from DV to VP. I have read all about the lumens thingy.
