Hi Zaxed,

Welcome to MCF wink.gif. What year is your civic, EH, EK or ES smile.gif. You replace your stock filter with a K & N cone filter right, pod is those that looks like a mushroom. Are you refering to the tube that leads from the based of the original filter-box to somewhere below your battery? Anyway, changing anything that's stock (straight from the factory) is consider as illegal if LTA wants to be strict about it. Normally, they do not bother if only changing of air-filter unless you SC, TC or NOS than it'll be a heavy fine $$$ thumbsdown.gif

Correct me if I am wrong.. the tube is probably the tube into the air-sensor control.

SC- Supercharge

TC-TurboCharge

NOS - Nitro-o?? Basically means use cold air nitrogen to pump into your air-intake.

NOS - Nitro-o?? = Nitrous Oxide Systems

I think the tube for EK is to pipe the air from near the mud guard to the filter (almost cold air intake) some thing similar to Doc Mike Chong's 156 intake [;)]

I used to have that for my EK4 previously, called "ICEMAN". Draws in cool air from the bumper area. Quite stressful in floods though.. sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif

"ICEMAN" was actually one of the better CAI in the market thumbsup.gif. Due to the gradual diameter reduction of the tube, from the bumper to the throttle body, it give a 'venturi' effect (ram-air) to the air intakethumbsup.gif

I know GarageR is a slau..... [lipsrsealed][lipsrsealed]

but since your have experienced solid improvements with ICEMAN and dear Johnny has advised: "......."ICEMAN" was actually one of the better CAI in the market . Due to the gradual diameter reduction of the tube, from the bumper to the throttle body, it give a 'venturi' effect (ram-air) to the air intake...." i am keen on this brand (or anyother brands which provide the same ven-tu-ri effect [thumbsup] )

i'd love to DIY.... let me ask Mike when i see him Rabba Rabba....

Thanks for the advice mate.... good one [thumbsup][thumbsup]

cheers

As long as it's CAI, it'll definitely be louder than stock smile.gif as the stock resonator has been removed thumbsup.gif. That's the price you pay for the added performance thumbsup.gif
