thinking of installing xenon lights. anyone has recommendations on reliable brands? i am worried abt the inspection part, will hve prob or not? any experiences w the law?

funny leh...i went for inspection but they didnt even check my lamps...thye just check brakes...and were very happy and eager to fail my exhaust.

 

I think the standard of inspection centres has droppped drastically. They think any car that a teenager drive that fails...the driver must be a young punk. When i told them i didnt know what to change and ask them if they could advice...they rolled their eye balls as if to indicate "another punk trying to sneak his way thru"

 

Took me awhile before i managed to convince one guy that i was sincerely not sure of what to do before he took abit more time to help check my exhaust again.

All aftermarket HID not allowed and the so call white halogen light bulbs are not approved except for a selected few...

Errr.... my ride will be due for its first inspection soon ... so wat to look for and wats All aftermarket HIDs??

if you replace your existing headlamp housing with the projector-base one, (if yours is reflector base), and then upgrade to xenon, you shouldn't have any problem.

 

For xenon bulbs/ballast, try Philips, it's pretty reliable.
