Does anyone know if the Surbo and Automatic cars work together ?

Previously, they claim it will only work for carb. version of manual cars ... now they claim it works for all ranges from manual to autos from carb. to injection [dizzy][rolleyes]

Anyone care to comment or share their experience .... [gossip]

Thinking of getting it install since it will pay off itself given the FC savings over a very short period of time [sunny]

According to Surbo Heng (the inventor) on some auto cars only single Surbo can be used as twin will make it unable to shift to the top gear, therefore making the engine hi revving in 3rd gear on the highway!

Not sure which models are affected though...

And the latest BMWs and Minis can't use Surbo... the smartass ECU will sense that the airflow is not normal and give a check-engine light for the E46 BMW.

Gadgets don't improve FC. The driver's habits improve FC. You have been cautiously advised. Please do not consider the Surbo.

But heard and read the device actually give you a lifter acceleration which will mean you accelerate less to obtain same performance ... wouldn't that be equal to changing driving habit and saving FC ? gossip.gif

Jackrabbiting doesn't equate to better FC driving habits. I know. I go PG for sprints before. 1/4-1/2 can disappear from just a couple of sprints.

What I meant is if you have a lighter acceleration, you will hit faster speed at a shorter time .... wouldn't it be better for the FC since you burn less at higher gear. [confused]
