HELP!! Brake Fluide specs

Hi Peopple out there...

 

One question on Brake fluid.

 

Saw this specification on the fluid bottle saying DOT3....

 

What does this mean and can we mix maybe DOT3 into DOT4?

Hi! there, Vincent,

 

Don't mix DOT 3 with DOT 4 brake fluids, unless it's an emergency situation, due to leak and none available.

 

They are different temperature specs.

 

If it's mixed, flush and replace with the correct fluid ASAP.

 

Definitely cannot mix for DOT 5, as it's synthetic, unlike DOT 5.1
