Carb Tuning and Cleaning???

Hi, would like to know where can i do carb cleaning and tuning and how much does it cost?? thanks

To clean is easy....

 

Remove your airfilter cover...then remove the airfilter...you should be able to see the carb. Buy a can of STP carb cleaner and start your engine....rev it while holding on to the throttle wire...spray the carb cleaner into the carb and see all the varnish and gums dissolve and come out as smoke from your exhaust. Remember to rev the engine if not your engine will stall !!

 

Rev the engine a few time to clear the residue of the carb cleaner....after that replace the airfilter and cover and you are done.

 

To tune the carb is a art...many mech can do that for you...its cheap...just do it while you are doing servicing can liao. Last time got one ah peh mechanic teach me how to smell the exhaust....just tune until you dun smell petrol can liao....if not you are running too rich. Prob with carb is that how you tune on what day....if cool day your tuning siew siew but same setting on a hot day the blardy carb would run too lean....cos not enuff air....but cool weather is ok....
