Latzu Neutral Newbie March 3, 2004 Share March 3, 2004 Anyone here knows where's a decent and reliable place to purchase a Toyota WISH? I've been to Ricardo but I find that their price is a little too expensive. For the price of a basic 1.8l WISH (entry level version), I can purchase a 2.0l Stream. Any concerns with regards to buying from PI? ↡ Advertisement

Thunder Neutral Newbie March 3, 2004 Share March 3, 2004 I went to Hua Yang at Turf City last week. The SE who is still calling me has just quoted me $87,000 for the Bidding COE scheme. For the price it is the XE version (basic) but should be able to bargain something out of it. Another is Custom Motor Trading. Quoted me $89,000 but with more things. However, deliver time a bit longer than Hua Yang. Hope this is useful.
Latzu Neutral Newbie March 6, 2004 Author Share March 6, 2004 Thanks! Finally plonked down $90,800 for the X version at Vincar. Hope I don't get screwed by them. Really scared of these PIs (aka crooks).

GDIzen Neutral Newbie March 7, 2004 Share March 7, 2004 I don't think so too as the MPV has a heavier body and FC is bound to go up!More like 10km/l if you're lucky...with stock tyres and rims...
Latzu Neutral Newbie March 7, 2004 Author Share March 7, 2004 The fuel consumption according to the brochure reads 14.4km/l. The brochure is in Japanese so I'm no sure how they measure that. But according to some forummers in the Toyota Wish Club, it's quite close to that. The fuel consumption was one of my concerns when purchasing this vehicle. We needed more space for the kids and it seems that the WISH fits the bill nicely. We looked at the Picnic too but found it too bulky. We've got two kids and in a few year's time, they'd grow out of their baby seats (takes up a lot of space; can't fit in saloon) and the size would be just nice when the last row of seats folded down. Bfmstg Clutched March 7, 2004 Share March 7, 2004 hi, my wish average FC is between 10.5km/l to 11km/l with my travel patteren of 70% city 30% highway also lots of start and stop. my friend wish average about 13km/l with 70% highway. just a guideline also depends on individual driving style. once i pumped petrol with E lighted up at about 580km and pumped at about 46l of ron 95 with 70% HW with momo sport rims. regards

Merrills 1st Gear March 10, 2004 Share March 10, 2004 (edited) Read in another car forum that BM will be importing Thai-made WISH soon. They appear to be much better speced than the common X-E imported by PIs, and possibly cheaper too. Check out the pics: http://www.toyotametro.co.th/WISH/index.htm Edited March 10, 2004 by Merrills

Ling156 Neutral Newbie March 12, 2004 Share March 12, 2004 yep...that's exactly why we wanna change to an MPV, but does anyone have any views on the aircon blowers? i realised that there are no aircon blowers for the back, only the front. is the aircon strong enough to reach the back? Latzu Neutral Newbie March 12, 2004 Author Share March 12, 2004 Apparently many of the WISH owners mentioned that the last row don't suffer from the lack of an a/c blower. There's an additional blower in the middle of the dash that should be able to cool the rear cabin. I've also requested to put Thermal Guard on the glass surfaces. Ling156 Neutral Newbie March 13, 2004 Share March 13, 2004 Hey you mentioned about this Toyota Wish Club...how do I get in touch with them to find out more about the car? Are you a member yourself? I could be a future member... Btw, whereabouts is this Vincar? Is their service good? What freebies did you get for your car?

Dhti Neutral Newbie April 21, 2004 Share April 21, 2004 Bro! I am not sure how much a wish is going at???? but i am sure of Ricardo....I have 2 friends who bought 2 Rav 4 from them... Very good service - let me define that... They deliver as promised no extras! no topups! The 2 friends of mine have went to another PI prior to Ricardo, the PI did not attempt to bid for their COE, keep asking them to top and top up if they wan their cars! They were so pissed that they sign with Ricardo again....they got their cars as stated in the agreement after 7 days! No hidden charges. Y I am sharing this???becos i have booked my Fit with another PI...damn it i got the same experience like mine 2 friends! If these dealer cannot deliver the price according to the sales agreement - they dub even advertised as such...low prices to attractr more people to book, then bound to have a few will be led into impulsice buying to top up extra.. Be careful, ask clearly what you are going for...like any sales surcharge, If it is GST inlcusive, delivery date, how many bids...... ↡ Advertisement
