Huggable Clutched September 10, 2002 Share September 10, 2002 (edited) Me installed the Gavinisers during the Marina South meetup, and fuel economy improved! Used to average at 11km/l, now able to attain 12+km/l! Make: Kia Sephia Engine cc: 1498 Transmission: Manual. One observation is that, the mileage range has widened, depending on the driving style. With heavy right foot, I can get about 11+km/h. Relaxed driving can attend about 12.5km/l! Used to get 11km/l no matter how I drive! Panda Neutral Newbie September 10, 2002 Share September 10, 2002 (edited) Hi people, My Gavinizer. Ramblings about what sorta trash I'm doing to my car. Car: 1.5 G9 Corolla Manual Period of test: 11 days so far. Expectations: None. Again another blindfold guinea pig. Why me again??? So what was the immediate response? "Oh wow... What did you do?" So there are magnets and what they're supposed to do is what they're supposed to do, you guys should've heard all the stories , but bottomline is, "Does it work?" Response: Seems more torquey from stop to go, though I have a hard time isolating the differences of the improvement in feel as compared to Grounding alone. But nevertheless there is a significant improvement in response feel. Then again being naughty dragging abit with this new power kick can't possibly hurt that much ya? Economy: I ain't got a huge mileage on the Gavinizers yet so I'm not popping my champange on the fuel economy aspects of this gadget-thingy, yet. But so far 3 pumps. I gotta be honest, I'm not keen on taking the results into consideration yet. Everytime I tell myself, "Boy, you gotta rein in on that rabid right-foot of yours!" I just floor it on every light turned-green. So fuel consumption on my end up till now, fairly spoken, drop-dead shitty, dun bother with my experimentations for now. But I'll be dammed to deepest depths of hell by enviromentalists if I grow to like such devilish driving habits. There's just this new rush that I NEVER got used to for the last 10 days. The little kick I remembered I first got from my Grounding disappeared as it slowly grew on me and became the normal performance expectation, but not this time. There is an added smoothness to the acceleration as you watch the tachy needle climb. Not as if you had a lighter racing fly-wheel blah blah sort of high-speed rev-up or a slower rev drop, its just... smooth. One things for sure, the installation isn't messy. Didn't spot it, till Cool pointed it out. I hate messy. iCeRain's grading for Gavinizers: Will talk more about economy after I've send my right foot through some obidience school training. "Heel boy, HEEL!" Edited September 10, 2002 by Icerain
Guyver 1st Gear September 11, 2002 Share September 11, 2002 Yah man... as for me... with my upgraded 16" rims... i thought that i would get very bad fuel economy ... but after putting in the "Gaviniser".... i hit about 200km when my fuel indicator is at the 3/4 mark!! which most of the time only hit about 150km... As for the throttle response.... i realised that, for my Corona AT190... too sudden flooring of the pedal will not help much... the key to faster and more punchy acceleration is by lighter and more gradual depressing of the pedal! Does any other have similar feedback?
Zrun Neutral Newbie September 11, 2002 Share September 11, 2002 How much does it cost to ship to USA? Look, http://www.fuelmiser.com/catalog%20page.htm , as usual, rediculous markups..

Gadgeter 2nd Gear September 11, 2002 Share September 11, 2002 Hi Folks, My turn for review. Car: 1.6 Impreza Manual Period of test: 06 days so far. Expectations: Better throttle response. Response: Throttle seems to be more responsive. Economy: As this is my first pump after installation, maybe the result is not so accurate as mileage was quite low. Mileage: 211km Litre: 22.01L Therefore Mileage currently: 9.58km/l Mileage Previously: 10.8km/l I think my consumption went up because I have yet to adjust my driving habits. Will monitor for another week and post the results again.. Overall rating:
Huggable Clutched September 11, 2002 Share September 11, 2002 Wow... finally 16" Show us in car showroom! The response of the car seems better, don't know due to magnets or grounding. Sudden flooring of the pedal does shows some better pickup, but fuel economy suffers
Huggable Clutched September 11, 2002 Share September 11, 2002 Beer-man, Maybe you might want to compare your BEST and WORST mileage before and after Gaviniser !
Gadgeter 2nd Gear September 11, 2002 Share September 11, 2002 Hi Huggable... You are right... I only took one reading for before and one after.. Forgot to compare the Best & worst... But as long as it don't increase consumption by more than 10%. I'm okie.. In fact, don't really mind the slight increase in consumption cos car more power now... I just it.... Huggable Clutched September 11, 2002 Share September 11, 2002 You did grounding? That sure will help! Then can consider renewing COE since the car's performance is too good to scrap!
Guyver 1st Gear September 11, 2002 Share September 11, 2002 Already have.. check it out at http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gforum.cgi...e=unread#unread Tell me what u think.....
Gadgeter 2nd Gear September 11, 2002 Share September 11, 2002 (edited) Huggable... I did the grounding first during the meetup at Gavin's place... errrrr. 1-2 months ago.. Did the magnets last week.... maybe it is too early to tell.... Anyway, I don't think I'll keep this car.. Even thought it is quite maintenance free, but given the fact that Scooby parts are slightly more costly than the rest of the Jap makes.. I may be getting a Mit Lancer, but nothing is confirm yet, cos 1 more year to go....... 5/9/03 ..... Edited September 11, 2002 by Gadgeter

I also interested in getting the Gaviniser, how much does it cost and when will the stock be available? Does anyone know how is it if compared with the CALSKI Ion Accelerator? Anyone have any comments about these two comparison? Anyway, I am using the F2-21 and from Lester, he say it is not as good as Gaviniser, is it true?
