Ventin Neutral Newbie February 27, 2004 Share February 27, 2004 Must a car have side mirrors to be driven in Singapore? Is it an offense for a car not to have? I think with a large rear mirror, it is sufficient to drive safely. ↡ Advertisement
Soya Supersonic February 27, 2004 Share February 27, 2004 yes. side mirrors, like brake lights are mandatory for safety reasons. btw, how do u change lane safely without checking the side mirrors?? the scope of vision for the rear view mirror is extremely narrow. Dazzler Neutral Newbie February 28, 2004 Share February 28, 2004 i get ur point when u say u can drive w/o side mirrors...i didn't used the left side mirror at all when i was driving my previous car as i found the rear view mirror more than sufficient.however it is always better to have the side mirrors dun u think..if not, jus one unfortunate incident where we forget to check blind spot and may be end of story.. Matthatter Neutral Newbie April 23, 2004 Share April 23, 2004 Advisable to fix, especially if there's a crack. Don't want rain to screw up the electricals or etc. Replacement cost at BM may be high though.
