Skywalker Neutral Newbie February 24, 2004 Share February 24, 2004 Had narrowed down a few choices for my new ride, need some advise from all. Don't intend to get those pure performance tyres as my car not performance type 1. Yokohama AVS db 2. Michelin Pilot Preceda 3. Falken Azenis ST115 All the above are bias towards quiet/comfort on the performance range as I want to strike a balance between performance & comfort/quiet. If you have any suggestion on similar category please recommend. Tyre size will be 215/45R17 and price wise are pretty close. Thanks. ↡ Advertisement

Leonknapp Clutched February 24, 2004 Share February 24, 2004 I suggest the new Bridgestone Potenza RE010. Read that its an excellent tyre with low noise. Cheers!
Mojoe Neutral Newbie February 25, 2004 Share February 25, 2004 Wow... didn't know my previous tyres (Firestone SZ50) are rated so highly.. .. most people avoided Firestone.. sigh... wasted noticed no Falken rated
Ghostrider 3rd Gear February 25, 2004 Share February 25, 2004 You will have a good time looking for this tyre. Not much pple selling as its OEM tyre that come with the car. Alternative...comfort and good handling...can also consider the following tyres. 1) Toyo Vimode 2) BridgeStone GIII 3) Yokohama ES100
Ghostrider 3rd Gear February 25, 2004 Share February 25, 2004 Firestone and Bridgestone same lah....US call Firestone...both same company diff name. Falken IMHO....crap tyres other than the F451....tried ST115....again like Yokohama...like to use their flagship name to hoodwink pple...what Azenis...if really the Azenis perform like dat...gone case liao. Yokohama like to use the AVS to hoodwink pple like their AVS dBs....AVS used to respesent performance....not anymore.
Cordia_gsr Neutral Newbie February 26, 2004 Share February 26, 2004 Yes, but just take that rating as a rough guide. Sometimes, there is slight difference depending on the weather, the tarmac surfaces and the air/road temperature of the country so data may differ. It all depends on how hard you drive and how fast you drive
Zolidlim Neutral Newbie March 6, 2004 Share March 6, 2004 Ummm good comparison.. But no Falken le.. Thinking of changing to Falken again after my Yoko DB Aspec runs botak... No grip in wet traction. But very comfort on the other hand.
