Air Papan is a good choice. Actually there is another beach near Mersing besides Air Papan.

 

There is Tenglu Beach which is 8km north of Mersing and because it is nearer, it more popular with locals. To get here, from Mersing town and travel up north for another 7km. Then turn right for about 1km.

 

Then there is Teluk Buih as well. From Mersing, travel north for another 9km then turn right through paddy fields for 3km and turn right again for anohter half kilometre.

Thanks, I'm actually looking for a beach where they have better facilities for bathing and stuff. Air Papan is very basic. Any tips on that.

 

I'll reecce those other beaches up north.

 

Also need a place where you can see your car better, or less crowed, cos mine is those electronic keys and you can't just lock up everything and jump into the water kinda stuff. Thanks.

Actually it is better to bring along a tent. If possible a shower tent which can double as toilet tent if you got portable latrine. Portable shower pack optional but would be good.

 

I have a tent but no shower tent as of now. eBay got lots to buy. Very cheap.

 

Shower pack can get from Home Fix DIY but come to think of it, the best choice will be Home Fix DIY 1 Utama! The Home Fix DIY there is so damn big it got this entire section on Coleman camping stuff. Nearly everything you can find on eBay!

 

Gee....with this load, I think I better get a minibus!

HeHeHe, thanks and dun worry. I drive an Octavia, loads of boot space, even managed to fit a 29"TV with the packaging box and all together with a 5.1 speaker (dvd) player system with the box as well. Cheers.
