Jamesgetz 4th Gear March 23, 2005 Share March 23, 2005 tat's true, hence didn't want anyone else to expect too much from the Glare warranty. actually, some bird poo and tree saps will still leave a mark even if u remove them within the same day. good thing is these marks can be removed when u go back to Glare for the car 'spa' glare polish? u referring to the quick action spray? the quick action spray is good but still does not get rid of some of the stains left behind after u remove the crap ↡ Advertisement
Blackbeauty Neutral Newbie March 23, 2005 Share March 23, 2005 i suggest u quickly get your paint protected..rather than wait for yur spoiler. just let james at amk know dat u will b expecting your spoiler to come soon...they glare it for u once u got it installed..at no additional cost. Osiris 1st Gear March 23, 2005 Share March 23, 2005 The amk one, tell them b4 booking, ask if can do spoiler, come back to glare for free (spoiler oni) shouldn't be a problem.
Osiris 1st Gear March 23, 2005 Share March 23, 2005 (edited) glare polish not spray, it's a white bottle of polish, cream light orangy brown in color, machiam pimple cream like that. No need to use a lot, 1/4 of 5 cent coin more than enough to clean up a few stains. After washing, the stubborn stains still cannot remove, use the polish Rubbed lightly on stains for a few seconds, gone. PS I never encounter water stain that cannot be removed from normal weekly washing... Edited March 23, 2005 by Osiris
Jamesgetz 4th Gear March 23, 2005 Share March 23, 2005 i think it's the same stuff. yes, it's light creamish colour. does it become powdery when it dries? the spray is prob to make it easier to use
Osiris 1st Gear March 23, 2005 Share March 23, 2005 Yes, it becomes powdery when dried up. But that only happened at the top cover where excess cream stays there for a long period and not during when I polish. If you get those dried stuff on your car, you using too much polish? Blackbeauty Neutral Newbie March 23, 2005 Share March 23, 2005 they glare proaction polish is not the same as the rapid action. this new DIY glare polish is said to contain higher % glassplexin than the rapid action.
Nickppt Neutral Newbie March 24, 2005 Share March 24, 2005 but then hor... will it damage the glare that's already applied onto the rear door when install spoiler? somemore they onli glare the spoiler... if rear door glare damaged then will they reapply??
Osiris 1st Gear March 24, 2005 Share March 24, 2005 Rear door? U mean boot? Where the spoiler attached to? Just ask them to glare the area around the area where the spoiler is connected to the boot lor. No big deal. If u still not comfortable, if now book got 50%, purchase Glare first, say one month later than do. Go get your body kit fixed then come back to them. If u go to the branch recommended, like AMK, they are quite professional and flexible within reasons. anyway the whole Glare takes about 4hrs or more. Wash, claybar, polish interior and exterior. Jermy Clutched July 12, 2005 Share July 12, 2005 Hi bro, i'm on Glare. Basically, after your car is being 'Glared', washing will be jus simply by using water else if you are KS like me , can use their Glare shampoo to wash and after that re-apply the Glare Polish yourself. Birdshit and stains can be clean off quite easily after Glared. I done my Glare at their head office in Ubi and their service is quite ok. So far my car still looks as good as it is the first day i drive it out from the collection centre. hi there, how much did it costs for glare? I'm driving a white car so i guess there's a surcharge.. Thanks!
Vblaster_w211 2nd Gear July 13, 2005 Share July 13, 2005 Both my rides are GLARED by Groomworks at Jalan Tua Kong. Very good shine and for the E200K, proven to last (Teg is still new). See their works: E200K after 6 months: Teg (just GLARED):
Blackbeauty Neutral Newbie July 15, 2005 Share July 15, 2005 thot groomworks is no longer an authorise dealer for glare? i notice even bukit batok branch is also no longer in their list (from their website).
Vblaster_w211 2nd Gear July 15, 2005 Share July 15, 2005 Does it matter? They've done an excellent job for both my rides, and their customers are more often than not like me, i.e. repeat customers since their Autoglymn days.
Silgt Neutral Newbie July 15, 2005 Share July 15, 2005 (edited) Agree. I will go with someone who can do a better job and are able to give proper technical advice than those so-called "Authorised" detailer. Bottomline is, technical skills and attention to details are what matters most to me... Edited July 15, 2005 by Silgt
