Alant 1st Gear February 9, 2004 Share February 9, 2004 Go to Singapore Toyota Club at Delphi Forum and do a search on Z-stabilizer. However, you need to register with Delphi Forum first.

Wolverine Neutral Newbie May 29, 2004 Share May 29, 2004 Hi ...i got this mail while inquiring on the effectiveness of this gadget from an engineer.... "Hi there, It's always interesting to hear of new SCAMS!... :-) Cars are certainly very "noisy" electrically, and a device like this could well make your stereo sound better. But the engine ECU is already pretty well stabilised, and neither injectors nor coil would be significantly affected by electrical noise. When we run engines on a test bed, using a nice smooth main power supply rather than the alternator, we see pretty similar emissions and economy to what we get in the vehicle. For that reason alone, I can't believe the Z-Stab is a lot of use. Yours, Tony

According to their website, it's supposed to stabilise the impedance, not voltage, whatever that means. First (subjective) impressions after installation were that the engine idling became quieter, pickup improved slightly and was smoother. FC remained abt the same, although it became higher (consumed more fuel) at first as I became a bit too accelerator-happy with the improved engine smoothness. After toning down, it went back to normal pattern. At $50 with a free grounding cable (non-LED light version), it was a satisfactory buy for me. In the old days, we had to wait at the central carpark at AMK to buy from the inventor (Jonathan). Now I think they accept orders on their website. The Gen 3 LED version was sold for $60 previously, the Gen 4 EX version should cost more. I'm thinking of trying out the EX version.
