Genie47 1st Gear February 16, 2004 Share February 16, 2004 Want to spend $10 on spark plug wrench? All metal? Go to Daiso. Buy their 9.65mm T-bar. Get Swivel Joint Extension. Get Spark Plug Hex (comes in 21mm and 16mm). Get Extension Rod. Maybe include the small flat tool box. 5X $2 = $10. That's the best you can get for $10. All METAL! If you want more functionality. Get more hex sizes, maybe 9.65mm to 6.25mm downsize connector. Great versatility.

Lester Neutral Newbie February 16, 2004 Share February 16, 2004 Totally agreed! That's why I go for my S$2 NGK copper plugs. IMO, copper plugs are cheap and healthy investments for a precise ignition. Platinum is good for engines that do not allow easy plu changes. Iridium is good for performance but it burns hotter, not ideal for normal blocks.
Golfer Neutral Newbie February 18, 2004 Share February 18, 2004 Where is Diaso? I bought a normal spark plug wrench at $3 but not enough torque to release the spark plug. Saw the mechanic tool and it was a extended, modified spug plug wrench i.e. very long. Know of a workshop at Tampines who is going to charge me $30 for normal plug installation and $60 for platinium +4. Better to do it me self. Have done me own Cable Grounding and kinda fun i.e material cost me only $85.00 while borrowed my company toolings for a weekend Mechanics Job. Currently testing out normal Bosch Super copper core and hope it should last 10k. Just want to see whether it can gives me 10.8 to 11.5 Km/litre on my 5 yrs old B14 Sunny. I wish to do more DIY instead of going to workshop. This will give me more understanding of my car. As the saying goes, "You Do You Understand" Rgrds. Tanlc Neutral Newbie February 19, 2004 Share February 19, 2004 [reply]Fit comes in 2 engine, 1.5L SOHC VTEC & the 1.3L i-DSI engine. the VTEC will use 4 plugs (Denso IK20) & the i-DSI uses 8 plugs (Denso IK20) How is these plugs compared to Bosch Super4? Genie47 1st Gear February 19, 2004 Share February 19, 2004 My grounding wire costs me $40. Industrial wires. Ugly looking but way better than most cosmetic looking ones from Autobaccs. Daiso can be found in IMM, level 3. Go to the tools section. Don't buy wrong items. All items are seperate so you have to get each item. Come for meetup and I will show you the wrench. Vtim 3rd Gear February 19, 2004 Share February 19, 2004 How is these plugs compared to Bosch Super4? Bosch Super4 center electrode is still 2.5mm in diameter as compare to the 0.4mm in the Denso Iridium IK series. You can read up more on Denso Iridium here: http://www.densoiridium.com/voltagerequirements.htm ↡ Advertisement
