The markings are still visible after washing, applying the wax and polish on the paintwork. What is the most effective way to get rid of ugly markings left over by acidic bird-droppings ?

If the markings are still visible after applying wax and polish, then most probably its eaten into your paintwork liao coz of the acidic nature of the droppings. sweatdrop.gif

You might want to continue polishing the area a few more times to try and remove it.

After that, best to use a sealant to protect the whole car. Subsequently, any dird droppings, just plop a wet tissue on the area, wait 10 seconds, and wipe off. nod.gif

Whatever it is, remove bird droppings asap once you see it. sweatdrop.gif

the moral of the story? don't park under trees... [laugh][laugh]

i think the most important is to immediately remove those droppings that land on the bonnet... better don't drive off with that sxxt sticking there or else you will be cooking that greenish crap right into your car's paint...
