Yongwd 1st Gear August 22, 2002 Share August 22, 2002 I has this problem on my Mazda long time ago, but it was a leaky fuel hose where air is trapped in fuel line. During heavy acceleration, air went into the carb together with petrol and cause severe hesistation, ping and bounce. Strange thing there is no fuel leak, no petrol smell either. i maybe wrong. HAve u check other possibilities like faulty ignition, engine mounts and vaccum leak or the worst case timing belt slipped by one teeth?
